Jude had to be put to sleep last Wednesday.

We wrote this in February this year. We are leaving it here as our tribute to him.

We found him staggering down a deserted lane one afternoon in September 2010, almost dead from starvation and in a very sorry state.

Five months later and he is a different dog with a full, luxuriant coat and a friendly disposition. He has settled easily into our family and became a firm favourite of our puppies despite attempting to intimidate them with his low growl.

It seemed they were prepared to ignore this in favour of cuddling up to his thick warm coat!

He has repaid us many times over with his love and dedication to us.
